Phenomenal Showing at DISNEY! Undefeated against 3 State Champion Teams with 3-0 and 2-0 and 2-0 Victories! Few Teams in the Nation will be able to keep up with this team as it becomes better and better everygame. Disney showed just who this team is on a National Stage! Losing out to the Champions 0-1 off of a corner kick with less than one minute left was heartbreaking, but strengthened this team to pursue further Championships. ISA STING was the only team that could attempt to stop Salt Lake City Sparta and their 2 US National Team players as Sparta went on to punish their challenger in the final 4-0.

Sting '96s Allow 1 Goal in last 12 Games!!
Their Defense is one of the top in the Northeast, a fact the Sting ’96 proved again at Bethesda - and AGAIN at NEWSS! In the last 12 games, including one against Bethesda FC, and another Blank Sheet against FC Westchester, the Sting ’96s shut-out everyone they faced, except for the final game at NEWSS, suffering an 0-1 defeat. The discipline and tenacity this defense shows is excellent and marks them as an upcoming power in New York East.
FC STING Alum Sophomore Amy Marron Selected to the ALL-BIG EAST 2nd Team
In just her second season with the Red Storm, Marron has played in all 37 games of her career, starting 36. In 2011, the Valhalla, N.Y., native had a season-best three assists, including the assist on Leaverton’s game-winner against Syracuse.

19 Clubs were represented by 52 Girls
There were many watchful eyes trained on the 1997- and ’98-born girls invited to the U.S. Club Soccer id2 player identification camp in Zarephath, N.J. this past weekend, with eight experienced coaches gathered from across the nation to train and evaluate the players with a view towards future youth national team opportunities.
But the perspective that might matter the most is that of Jill Ellis, Development Director for the U.S. Women’s National Teams, who attended the camp to scout potential candidates for upcoming U.S. camps and call-ups.
“Ultimately I think many of these players aspire to be on one of our youth teams,” Ellis told National Soccer Wire in an exclusive interview at the Players Development Academy, site of the id2 camp, on Friday. “These are players that obviously we’ll be looking at to bring into our camps and get into our youth environments.
“These are great events for us to come out and see players…and look at not just the players, but the coaches, and see what sort of things are happening out there in our youth soccer environment.”
